You name a competitor once and AdWhispr keeps watching their Meta ad library for you. It re-checks on a cadence, compares each day to the last, and tells you when a genuinely new ad appears, with the creative and its first-seen date attached. It does not tell you every day that nothing changed. It stays quiet until there is something worth your attention, and it never touches an ad account or spends a cent.

Use this when

You are tracking a rival's creative moves over time, watching for a seasonal push, a new offer, or a product launch, and you want to know the moment they start testing something rather than finding out weeks later. It is the standing companion to a one-time teardown: the teardown reads what is running now, this watch tells you what changes next.

Do not use this when you need a full read of everything a brand is running today; for that, run the Competitor Ad Teardown skill once. And do not use it for your own account; this monitors public competitor signals only.

What you need

  • The competitor's brand or Facebook page name as it appears in the Meta Ad Library, and the market if it is region sensitive.
  • AdWhispr connected to your AI client. The one-time setup is in the box at the top of this page. No ad account of your own is needed for read-only monitoring.
  • A cadence, if you have a preference. The default is a daily check.

How it runs

  1. Register the competitor once and establish a baseline of the ads currently live, each with its first-seen date.
  2. On each scheduled run, re-pull the brand's ad library and compare it to the last snapshot.
  3. Identify ads that are new since the previous check, and separate a genuine launch from an ad that was merely re-surfaced.
  4. When something new appears, alert with the ad, its format, hook, and offer, and the date it was first seen.
  5. When nothing new appears, stay silent, so an alert always means a real change.

What the skill checks

  • Each run compares against the stored baseline rather than an earlier session's memory, because the whole point is to catch the day-over-day delta.
  • No spend, CTR, or impression figure is attached to any new ad. First-seen date and creative details are the only facts reported.
  • The market filter is held constant between runs, so a region change is never mistaken for a competitor launching or pausing ads.
  • A re-appearing older ad is not reported as new; only ads absent from the prior baseline trigger an alert.

When it stops

  • Done: a new ad was detected and an alert went out with the creative and its first-seen date.
  • Nothing to report: the check ran and nothing new appeared, so no alert is sent and the watch continues on cadence.
  • Blocked: the brand name no longer resolves or the market cannot be read, in which case it flags the problem once rather than firing empty or repeating.

What it will and won't do

Read only and alert only. This agent watches a public ad library and notifies you. It never touches an ad account, never spends, never launches, and never contacts the competitor. Acting on what it finds, cloning a new ad or launching against it, is a separate skill with its own approval.

What you get

A quiet monitor that speaks up only when it matters: an alert naming the new ad, its format, hook, and offer, and the date it first went live, so you can react while the competitor is still testing rather than after they have scaled.

FAQ

How do I get alerted when a competitor launches a new ad?

Register the brand once and the watch re-checks its ad library on a cadence, comparing each run to the last. When an ad appears that was not there before, you get an alert with the creative and its first-seen date. No alert means nothing new, so you are never buried in noise.

Does it notify me every day even when nothing changes?

No. It stays silent on quiet days on purpose. An alert always means a real, new ad, not a daily "still nothing" message.

Can it tell a brand-new ad from an old one coming back?

Yes. It compares each run against a stored baseline of what was already live, so a re-surfaced older ad is not reported as a launch. Only ads absent from the prior snapshot count as new.

Does monitoring a competitor touch my ad account?

No. It reads public ad-library data on a schedule and sends alerts. Your own account is never queried, and nothing is ever spent or launched.
