Ad Account Audit & Wasted-Spend Finder

Audit a connected ad account with evidence: what is running, what is wasting spend, and the fixes ranked by what they are worth. Read-only, changes proposed separately.

You point AdWhispr at a connected ad account and it reads the account's real state: what is running, what is quietly wasting spend, and the fixes worth the most, ranked. Every line is traceable to your live account data. It never invents a benchmark or a spend figure it cannot see. The audit itself is read-only, and any change it suggests is a separate, explicitly approved step.

Use this when

You want an honest, evidence-backed picture of a Meta or Google account before a review, a client hand-off, or a monthly cleanup, and you want the waste ranked by what it is costing you rather than a flat list of everything that is wrong.

Do not use this to read a competitor. This skill only reads accounts you have connected. For a competitor's public ads, use the Competitor Ad Teardown skill. When you are ready to act on the waste this audit finds and move money toward the winners, that is the Budget Reallocation skill, which proposes and applies changes on your approval.

What you need

  • A connected ad account on Meta or Google. Connection is a one-time setup at /integrations.
  • Read access to the account you want audited, which the connection grants.
  • The goal you are judging against (target CPA, ROAS, or lead cost) if you have one, so the audit measures against your bar rather than a generic one.

How it runs

  1. Confirm which connected account and which date window to audit.
  2. Read the live account: campaigns, ad sets or ad groups, and ads, with their current status and spend.
  3. Flag the waste: spend on off-goal campaigns, rejected or half-built items still drawing budget, campaigns converting nothing, and anything missing the target.
  4. Rank each finding by the money at stake, so the top of the report is the most expensive problem.
  5. Attach the evidence to every finding: the campaign, the spend, and the reason, all from the account.
  6. Return the audit with a prioritized fix list, none of it applied.

What the skill checks

  • Reads live account data at run time, not a stale snapshot, because a campaign can be paused or rejected since you last looked.
  • Reports only verifiable metrics: spend, status, and results the account actually returns. No invented benchmarks and no estimated spend.
  • Ranks findings by what is at stake in dollars, so the biggest leak sits first.

When it stops

  • Done: a full audit with waste, rejections, half-built items, and a fix list ranked by cost.
  • Partial: one platform of a multi-platform account is unreadable (permission or scope), so it audits what it can and flags the gap.
  • Blocked: no connected account, or the connection lacks read access. It points you to /integrations rather than guessing.

What it will and won't do

Read only. The audit reads your account and returns findings. It never pauses, edits, or spends. The only skill here that changes anything is Budget Reallocation, and even there the moves are proposed first and applied only when you explicitly approve them, sized to avoid resetting the learning phase.

What you get

A prioritized audit: the wasted spend with the exact campaigns and amounts behind it, rejected and half-built items still on the account, performance against your goals where a goal is set, and a fix list ordered by what each fix is worth. Every number is from your account. Nothing is estimated and nothing is changed.

FAQ

What does an ad account audit actually check?

It reads the live account and reports the true state: what is running, paused, rejected, or left half-built, where spend is going with nothing to show for it, and how results compare to your goal. Every finding carries the campaign and the number behind it, pulled from the account rather than estimated.

How do you find wasted ad spend?

By reading the account, not by guessing. The skill looks for spend on off-goal or converting-nothing campaigns, budget still flowing to rejected or half-built items, and campaigns missing your target, then ranks them by the dollars at stake so you fix the most expensive leak first.

Does the audit change anything in my account?

No. The audit is read only. It reports what it finds and stops. Moving budget toward winners is a separate skill, Budget Reallocation, which proposes each change and applies it only on your explicit approval.

Can it audit Meta and Google together?

Yes. It reads whichever of your Meta and Google accounts are connected and reports them together. If one platform is unreadable, it audits the rest and names the gap instead of filling it with a guess.
