Hermes Agent is the open source agent from Nous Research. It runs in your terminal, in the Hermes Desktop app, and in Telegram, Discord, Slack and other chat apps. With AdWhispr added, Hermes can research the ads in your market, turn a proven competitor ad into your own creative, and run your campaigns, all from the same conversation.
Add AdWhispr to Hermes
Install the AdWhispr plugin. It connects Hermes to AdWhispr and adds the AdWhispr workflow skills:

hermes plugins enable adwhispr
The plugin needs Node.js 20.18.1 or newer. Start a new Hermes session, or run /reload-mcp in the one you have open.
If you would rather connect only the AdWhispr tools, without the skills, add AdWhispr to the mcp_servers section of ~/.hermes/config.yaml with the URL https://adwhispr.com/api/mcp, then run hermes mcp login adwhispr.
Sign in
The first time Hermes uses an AdWhispr tool, it opens your browser on the AdWhispr sign-in page. Sign in or create a free account, and you are set. There is no API key to copy. Hermes then acts with your AdWhispr account: your saved brand, your connected ad accounts and your plan limits.
To launch or manage campaigns, connect your ad accounts once. Ask Hermes to connect your Meta, Google, TikTok or X account and it sends you a link to that platform's own sign-in page. ChatGPT Ads works by key instead: the link opens an AdWhispr page where you paste the key from your ChatGPT Ads Manager.
A skincare brand finds the ads already working
A small skincare brand wants to know who else is advertising to its customers, and what is working for them. The owner tells Hermes the store's website. Hermes saves it as the brand, finds the competitors that AdWhispr verifies are running ads right now, and lists each competitor's longest-running ads first, because an ad a company keeps paying for month after month is the closest public sign of a winner. The owner asks what those ads have in common and gets the hooks, offers and formats they share.

A store owner turns a competitor's winner into their own video
The same owner picks one competitor video that has run for months and asks Hermes to make a version for their own brand. AdWhispr writes a scene by scene script that keeps what made the original work and swaps in the owner's product, name and voice. Writing and editing the script is free. Hermes shows it, the owner changes a line, and only when the owner approves does the paid render start. The finished video lands in the owner's Creative Library, ready to launch.

A Monday brief while you run the business
A busy owner does not want to open an ads dashboard every week. Hermes can run a scheduled job, so the owner sets up a Monday morning brief: what competitors launched in the past week, how the owner's own campaigns spent and converted, and the one change that would matter most. The brief arrives in the chat app the owner already uses. Hermes suggests changes, and nothing in a campaign changes until the owner confirms.

You stay in control of spend
- Every campaign is created paused. A launch builds the campaign in your own ad account with delivery off. It spends only when you resume it.
- Anything that spends asks first. Launches, budget changes, targeting changes and resumes show a preview, and AdWhispr only applies them after you confirm.
- Videos render only on your go. Scripts are free to write and edit. The render, which uses your video credits, starts only after you approve the script.
- No keys in the chat. Ad accounts connect through a sign-in link, never by pasting passwords, tokens or keys into Hermes.
