What this error means

TikTok refuses every write on an ad account that has no payment method, or that has an unpaid balance, and the message says only "Complete payment". Nothing can be created or changed until billing is set up, whatever tool sends the request.

How to fix it

  1. Open TikTok Ads Manager, then Billing.
  2. Add a payment method, or settle the outstanding balance if the account is in arrears.
  3. Wait for TikTok to confirm the account is in good standing.

Relaunch

Run the same launch again in the chat.

Frequently asked questions

I added a card. Why does it still fail?

TikTok can take a few minutes to activate a new payment method. If the account also had an unpaid balance, that has to clear too.

Does connecting TikTok to AdWhispr need a payment method?

No. Connecting works without one. Creating or changing ads does not.
