Troubleshooting platform errors
When Meta, Google or TikTok refuses a launch or a change, the chat shows the platform’s own message and one sentence on what to do next. These pages go deeper: what the error means in plain words, whose side the fix is on, and the steps to clear it and relaunch. Page titles use the platform’s real wording so you can find them by searching the exact error.
Meta
- Please authenticate your account (Meta, subcode 3858385)What Meta's 'Please authenticate your account' error (subcode 3858385) means when you launch an ad through AdWhispr, why it blocks every new ad, and the two fixes: clear the verification prompt in Ads Manager, or turn on two-factor authentication for the Facebook profile that connected.
- Facebook Page is Missing (Meta, subcode 1443121)Why Meta rejects an ad with 'Facebook Page is Missing' (subcode 1443121) when launching through AdWhispr: the chosen Page is unpublished or the connected profile has no role on it. How to pick another Page or add a Page role and relaunch.
- Budget is too low (Meta ad set minimum, subcode 1885272)What Meta's 'budget is too low' error (subcode 1885272) means when launching through AdWhispr, how Meta's minimum daily ad set budget works in your account's currency, and how to relaunch above it.
- Could not geocode address (Meta radius targeting, subcode 1487855)Why Meta answers 'Could not geocode address' (subcode 1487855) when you target a radius around an address through AdWhispr, and how to fix it with a fuller street address or by targeting the city instead.
- No advertiser information for Singapore (Meta verification, subcodes 3858548 and 3858550)What Meta requires before an ad can reach Singapore: the Singapore ad declaration, which AdWhispr adds automatically, and a verified advertiser on the ad account (subcode 3858548), which only you can complete. How to verify or remove Singapore and relaunch.
- Error validating access token: Session has expired (Meta, code 190)Why Meta returns 'Session has expired' or 'Error validating access token' (code 190) when AdWhispr acts on your ad account: the connection died after a password change, an expiry, or a revoked grant. Reconnect under Settings and relaunch.
- Too Many API Calls: User request limit reached (Meta, code 17)What Meta's 'User request limit reached' or 'Too Many API Calls' error (code 17, code 613) means when you change many campaigns quickly through AdWhispr, why retrying makes it worse, and how long to wait.
- Disabled accounts can't create or edit ads (Meta)What Meta's 'Disabled accounts can't create or edit ads' error means when launching through AdWhispr: the ad account is disabled, unsettled or closed for billing or policy reasons. Fix it in Meta Business Manager and relaunch.
- Accept the Custom Audience terms of service (Meta)Why Meta refuses to create a website-visitors or lookalike audience until the ad account has accepted the Custom Audience terms once, and where to accept them before asking AdWhispr to build the audience again.
Google Ads
- POLICY_ERROR: A policy was violated (Google Ads)What Google's POLICY_ERROR ('A policy was violated. See PolicyViolationDetails') means when you launch a Search campaign or add keywords through AdWhispr, how to find the flagged keyword or text, reword it or request a policy exemption, and relaunch.
- ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED (Google Ads manager accounts)Why Google Ads returns ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED when you launch a campaign through AdWhispr into a manager (MCC) account or an account your Google login cannot manage, and how to pick a regular account and relaunch.
- MUTATE_NOT_ALLOWED (Google Video campaigns cannot be changed through the API)Why pausing, resuming or editing a Google Video (YouTube) campaign through AdWhispr fails with MUTATE_NOT_ALLOWED, and where to make the change instead. Search, Performance Max and Smart campaigns in the same account are unaffected.
- DUPLICATE_CAMPAIGN_NAME (Google Ads)Why Google refuses a launch with DUPLICATE_CAMPAIGN_NAME when a campaign with the same name already exists in the account, why AdWhispr never renames it for you, and how to resume the existing campaign or relaunch under a new name.
TikTok
- Complete payment (TikTok Ads payment method required)Why TikTok Ads refuses every launch and change with 'Complete payment' or a payment method error until the ad account has a payment method under Billing, and how to add one and relaunch through AdWhispr.
- No TikTok account is linked to this ad account as an identityWhy a TikTok launch through AdWhispr stops with 'No TikTok account is linked to this ad account as an identity': TikTok no longer allows ads under a made-up name. How to link your TikTok account under Assets, Identity, and relaunch.
- This API does not support Upgraded Smart Plus ads (TikTok Smart+)Why a budget or status change on a TikTok Smart+ campaign through AdWhispr fails with 'This API does not support Upgraded Smart Plus ads', and where to change those campaigns instead.
- You don't have permission to target this location (TikTok Ads)Why TikTok refuses a launch with 'permission to target this location' when the ad account is not cleared for the country in the targeting, and how to name a country you are cleared for and relaunch through AdWhispr.
A connection that stopped working
Expired or revoked access on any platform has the same fix: reconnect the account under Settings, then Connected accounts, in the AdWhispr dashboard, and run the same request again. Meta connections expire on their own after a while and whenever you change your Facebook password.
